Immunity is intended to mirror the feel of a night out, and it captures both highs and lows. In Hopkins’ living, breathing world of sound, beauty and beats are always free to commingle in ways that move, in every sense of the word.
For fans of FT’s “There is Love in You”, the King Creosote collab “Diamond Mine”, caribou’s “Swim”. Wonderful mixture of sounds that I can’t wait to own.
Jai Paul - Track 15 (All Night)
Vampire Weekend - Hannah Hunt
A beautiful track of Vampire Weekend’s new album, Modern Vampires of the City
A bit slow on this, but it’s nice.

Jon Hopkins piano version of Modern Driveway by Luke Abbott
So I was reading an interview with Cinematic Orchestra head J swinscoe on the Guardian website from 2007 and it referenced a remix of Breathe FlyLo had done that was “unreleased”. No sign of it on the internet, however it led me to the page above… I have listened to both songs probably more than 50 times each but I would never have spotted that. Amazing.Clue’s in the name though.
“2013’s line-up so far is a bit shit, at least by their own standards. The Rolling Stones are barely still alive, nobody cares about The Arctic Monkeys’ last two albums and Mumford and Sons, as Agatha says, have been placed a little above their weight. But there’s a reason why Glasto sells out before the line-up has even been released, and they’re not all getting bought up by those bearded Gandalf-impersonators who never leave the stone circle. The amount going on – food, drink, drama, crazy healing stuff, the occasional band – and the quality that stitches it all together means that Glastonbury, at least in this country, barely has any competition”
