There’s something a bit romantic about the idea that this piece of music almost doesn’t exist. No information on the artist. A year old. 106 plays. In a few years this might disappear into the digital abyss. I hope it doesn’t.
It’s a lovely surprise to have such a quick followup to 2012’s All Hell going round my head. Franco - the album’s centerpiece and longest track - is a great example of the slightly smoother sound of Gibson’s 2nd LP Me Moan. However the album is no less interesting - it’s just that DG’s got a better control over what he wants to do this time around.

Immunity is intended to mirror the feel of a night out, and it captures both highs and lows. In Hopkins’ living, breathing world of sound, beauty and beats are always free to commingle in ways that move, in every sense of the word.
For fans of FT’s “There is Love in You”, the King Creosote collab “Diamond Mine”, caribou’s “Swim”. Wonderful mixture of sounds that I can’t wait to own.
